Meet Lisa

Welcome to Liruss Virtual Business Services Ltd!

I’m Lisa Russell, and I’ve spent over 20 years working in sales, events, hospitality, and finance. With such a varied background, I always knew I wanted to run my own business, but I never really knew what that would look like—especially since being a Virtual Assistant wasn’t even a thing back then.

As a wife and mum of four, I relied on my retired parents for childcare while juggling a demanding job that involved a lot of travel. When my mum fell ill, it made me rethink my priorities. I’d missed so much time with my kids—my eldest was almost finishing primary school, and it felt like those years had flown by. I wanted to be more present for my family while still providing for them. Growing up with a single dad and later going into foster care, I’d become a workaholic, determined to create a better life for my kids. But I never saw a clear path—until I discovered the role of a Virtual Assistant in 2017. The moment I realised I could use my diverse skills to help others while finding my own balance, I knew I’d found my thing!

At Liruss, our mission is to help business owners and entrepreneurs live life on their own terms. We provide essential admin and social media support, allowing our clients to focus on what really matters for their growth. We pride ourselves on creating a team culture where everyone feels valued and enjoys a good work-life balance. Our core values—honesty, dependability, integrity, warmth, and proactivity—reflect our commitment to being more than just an admin service; we aim to be true partners in our clients’ success.

What makes us different is that we employ UK-based Virtual Assistants, each with their own unique skills and plenty of experience. We don’t subcontract; we build a strong team that shares our vision.

What started as a lifestyle choice has grown significantly. As demand for our services increased, I realised the need to expand our team, allowing us to focus on growth while helping others enjoy flexible work arrangements. Today, we’re a team of seven, with exciting plans for the next five years.

We’ve proudly supported over 400 businesses across all sorts of industries—finance, coaching, marketing, architecture, landscaping—you name it! Many of our clients have been with us since the beginning and continue to thrive with our support.

As for the future, who knows? We’re just excited to watch our clients’ businesses soar!
