Getting Started

What is a Virtual Assistant?

A virtual assistant is a remote professional who handles business tasks on your behalf. That includes email and diary management, content writing, social media, invoicing, CRM upkeep, and systems work. You get the support without the overhead of employment.

The main difference is employment. A PA is typically employed in person, often full-time, closely supporting one individual. A VA works remotely on a flexible package without the cost of a salary, National Insurance, pension, or sick pay. For most founders, VA support covers everything a PA would, at significantly lower cost.

Our team of VA’s are all based in the UK and are full time or part time employed by Liruss Virtual Business Services.

If you’re regularly spending time on tasks that don’t need you specifically, email, admin, scheduling, content, invoicing, you’re ready. A good rule of thumb: if the same task takes you an hour a week and it isn’t something only you can do, it’s a candidate for delegation.

Usually within three to five working days. There’s no lengthy recruitment process. You have a discovery call, choose your package, and we get you onboarded.

No. Most clients come to us with a general sense of where they’re stretched, not a precise task list. The discovery call is where we work that out together.

How It Works

Will I always work with the same VA?

Yes. You have a dedicated VA as your main point of contact, so they get to know your business, your tools, and how you like things done. But they also have the wider Liruss team behind them. If something needs a specialist eye, whether that’s a particular platform, a content task, or a systems question, they can draw on whoever in the team is best placed to help. You get consistency and breadth

No. Every VA on our team is employed directly by Liruss Virtual Business Services. You always know who you’re working with.

However suits you. Most clients use email, WhatsApp, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. We fit around the tools you already use rather than asking you to adopt new ones.

Our VAs work core UK office hours. We don’t offer 24/7 support. Working hours are agreed during onboarding so both sides know what to expect.

Because your VA is part of a wider team, cover can be arranged when needed. We’ll always make sure you’re not left without support.

We take data security seriously and operate in line with UK GDPR. NDAs and confidentiality agreements are standard. Your data stays yours.

Packages and Pricing

How does pricing work?

We work on a monthly retainer model. You choose a package of hours that suits your needs, and those hours are used flexibly across the tasks you need support with. Get in touch for a conversation about what’s right for your business.

We ask for a minimum term to allow your VA time to properly learn your business and settle into a working rhythm. We’ll talk through the specifics on your discovery call.

Yes. One of the main advantages of working with a VA on a package basis is that your support level can grow with your business, or pull back during quieter periods, without you having to manage a recruitment process either way.

In most cases, yes. When you factor in salary, employer National Insurance, pension contributions, holiday pay, sick pay, equipment, and recruitment costs, a VA is significantly more cost-effective. You pay only for the hours you use, with no employment overhead.
